Specifications and Requirements

  

1. Compatible Software Information (see below for Hardware Requirements):

  •    Microsoft Windows:
    • Windows 7: 32-bit versions supported (not 64-bit versions). "Home" editions may present unforeseen problems in a business networking environment and are not recommended. Windows 7 will not work with WordPerfect 5.1 documents.
    • Windows Vista: 32-bit versions supported (not 64-bit versions). "Home" editions may present unforeseen problems in a business networking environment and are not recommended. Vista will not work with WordPerfect 5.1 documents.
    • Windows XP: XP Professional is supported. XP Home must be upgraded to XP Professional for use with Standard Conveyancer. XP Media Edition is not supported.
    • Windows 2000: Supported.
    • Windows NT Workstation: Supported.
    • Windows ME: Not supported.
    • Windows 98: Not supported for new installations. Requires MS Word 97 or 2000.

  •   Microsoft Word (Service Pack Information) with Macros enabled:
    • Word 2013: Compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP.
    • Word 2010: Compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP.
    • Word 2007: Compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP.
    • Word 2003 with SP3: Compatible with Windows XP and Windows 2000.
    • Word XP/2002 with SP3: Compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2000.
    • Word 2000 with SP3: Compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 98.
  •   Intuit Quicken (for use with optional Checkwriting module).
    • Version 2000-2013 required.

2. Computer Equipment Specifications:

(Right-click "My Computer," then click "Properties" to review your specifications.)

  • Processor: Intel Pentium 4, minimum 2 GHz, or equivalent AMD. Celeron processor performance is not adequate.
  • Memory (RAM): Minimum 768 MB for Windows 7 and Vista; 512 MB for Windows XP; 256 MB for Windows 2000/NT/98.
  • Hard Drive Space: Minimum 500 MB for program; 1 GB free space recommended for proper system operation.
  • Video: Monitor running at minimum of 1024x768 pixels resolution.
  • Printer: Letter and legal paper sources required for auto selection (see Supported Printers).
  • Remote service connection (required with SC support plan): GoToMyPC account or similar service recommeded.
  • Networking: Windows Small Business Sever or peer to peer. Full read/write access to SC network drive required.
