We
have an unusual opportunity for a technically-oriented person
with a real estate paralegal, legal assistant or similar background.
This is an opportunity to learn technical support, software training,
and even basic programming skills while capitalizing on your real
estate experience.
Our Technical Support
department provides telephone and remote service assistance, both
technical and usage related, to our clients. When not engaged
in direct customer support work, our Technical Support team members
work on other software related projects (document development,
testing, research, etc.) We will train you in the more technical
aspects of the job, but your current ability and comfort level
with computers will be an important consideration.
At
least initially, the main focus of the position will be on document
development work. This requires using advanced features of Microsoft
Word that you may not be familiar with. Some of the more complex
aspects of document customization are very similar to software
programming. You will need to come up to speed quickly in this
area, and while we will provide as much training and assistance
as possible, self-motivation in mastering the procedures and techniques
involved will be necessary. Attention to detail is crucial, and
proofreading skills are needed.
Another
major aspect of the position is software testing. This involves
using our programs and keeping detailed notes as to your findings.
You'll also have the opportunity to comment on the design of the
programs and to make suggestions for their improvement.
An
engaging personality, a positive attitude, and a customer satisfaction
orientation are important requirements for this position. We have
very high standards for telephone courtesy and follow-through.
Excellent English language interpersonal and communication skills
are required. Experience with Standard Conveyancer or other title
software would be helpful.
